In order to meet the growing trends in boom manufacturing, we searched for creative and innovative ways to ensure continuous improvement within our large contract manufacturing capabilities. As we searched for larger equipment, bigger capabilities, and advanced technologies, we came to understand that there wasn’t anything like what we wanted on the market. Four-Seam Boom Welder
Currently the star at HMMI, our custom-built Four Seam Boom Welder boasts an impressive 40” x 32” x 40’ work window allowing us to create long booms straight and true without distortion.
5-Axis Okuma Machining Center
Our Okuma machining center is a pride and joy at HMMI, featuring state-of-the-art automated processes capable of handling components up to 21’ x 13’ x 7’ in size and weighing as much as 80,000 pounds. This innovative machine produces precision results both horizontally and vertically in a single step, saving time and money.
40 Foot Plasma Cutting
Capable of precision cutting in materials up to 6 inches thick, our monster of a plasma cutter features a massive 40-foot bed and uses advanced plasma cutting technology for rapid results exactly to specifications.
Oversized Finishing Capabilities
Rounding out our large contract manufacturing capabilities and ensuring long-term visual appeal and protection from corrosion, our expansive facility houses spacious painting facilities for oversized requirements up to 50 feet long.
The CapEx: For When BIG Isn’t Big Enough
Coming soon, HMMI will be capable of creating massive components up to 60 feet long utilizing the one-of-a-kind technology of the Tandem Durma CNC Hydraulic Press Brake CapEx. This massive machine will provide precision results utilizing advanced 10-axis CNC capabilities and boasts an impressive forming throat depth of nearly 5 feet and a stroke depth of 4 feet.
